Tropical Berry Smoothie Bowl

Chia Seeds are becoming essential on all my smoothie bowls, and being able to create chia pudding with them has been wonderful. I’ve done several types, adding berries and honey to create something sweet to top the bowl off – but since i’m already making something sweet with all the natural sugars and deliciousness, I opted out to just make it with almond milk to add texture. But Chia Seeds are so diverse to work with, I recommend playing with them because they are brilliant for you!

Chia’s are loaded with nutrients and provide an immense amount of energy. In 2 tbsp (1 serving) you consume nearly half of the recommended daily amount of fibre, half of the recommended daily amount of omega 3 fatty acids, calcium in large quantities  (yes despite your belief, cows milk is not the best way of providing your body calcium and studies show dairy is just a big scam on multiple levels. Not to mention what the heck was the first person doing when they tried to drink cows milk… I could go on but I don’t need to burden you with how brutal the dairy industry isChia’s also pack Manganese, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Zinc, Vitamin B’s 1-3. For how few calories they have, and how many nutrients they do – it makes chia seeds one of the most nutrient dense foods, and the majority of the calories are fibre related.

This being said, top all your bowls, cereals, oatmeals with one of the most nutritious seeds, the Chia.
