Keep these handy for all those on-the-go types of days. These are perfect for this long weekend – while everyones been drinking offer these to restore some electrolytes and provide essential nutrients that’ll help slow down the absorption of alcohol in the system. Having one of these in between a few drinks is a smart way to rehydrate yourself and give your body some fibre to help fill you up (making you one step closer to saying no to ordering a large pizza later)
They don’t have to just be consumed while drinking, I particularly like them in the morning after my coffee. Just a little energy jolt to begin the day. They’d be perfect for Mom’s and Dad’s who find it hard to get their kids to eat fruit, or just to have a healthy alternative as a snack. It doesn’t matter how you eat them, they will satisfy those sweets cravings and load you up with all the antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fibre you need to carry on, start, or finish off your day.
Berry Smoothie Pops
1 Large Banana
2 cups Frozen Fruit
2 tbsp Original Almond Milk
1/2 tsp Lime Juice
Optional:
Diced Pineapple
Strawberry Slices
Blend all your ingredients until smooth, pour the mixture into your mold. If you’d like, add some sliced strawberries or diced pineapples to the mix.
Freeze for at least 1 hour before serving.
This can also become a smoothie bowl, just skip the freezer and add some coconut flakes and granola on top. Voila!
