Guacamole is life. Seriously. 

Avocados are such an interesting fruit. They have a beautiful creamy and smooth texture but don’t have a distinct flavor, and it’s super easy to add other ingredients to make it sweet like pudding or savory like guacamole. 

The health benefits are amazing. The fat content is all the beneficial mono-saturated fats your body absorbs and stores as energy rather than stores as fat. It’s a great food for the skin and hair while being super beneficial for the inside of your body too. They pack all the vitamins and minerals your body needs (C,E,K,B’s, magnesium, potassium, and omega 3’s) while also providing healthy heart benefits. Avocados also pack beta carotene and lucein – two BCAA’s (branch chain amino acids) that are ideal for maintaining muscle mass and providing muscle recovery after exercise. So eat your avocados people!! 

I make at least a full bags worth of guacamole every week because how easy it is. I spread this on my grilled cheese, I eat it with vegetables, fries, crackers, nachos, and every once and awhile I try to incorporate it into other recipes and meals.

I do my recipe per avocado because it is so much easier and sometimes everyone needs their own personal guacamole.

1 avocado per person

1/4 of a red onion per avocado

½ of a tomato per avocado

1 tsp of lime juice per avocado

salt and pepper to taste

chop 1 tsp of cilantro per avocado

1/4 jalapeno diced per avocado

Mash your avocados  (I like to keep it chunky)

Add all the other vegetables, lime juice, cilantro, salt and pepper.

Eat with everything.
